マエケン完封！カープ中日を圧倒し連勝！（英文）

☆When I came home around 18:00, when I had thought the game

of Carp versus Dragons would start, the radio began to

broadcast the game of Tigers versus Giants.

I wondered if the game had been called off because of

　the typhoon, but soon realized that the game had been played

in the daytime. I had worked at my highscool, which had a

school festival on Saturday, and I completedly forgot

about the game.

　Soon I checked the result of the game on the Internet, and

was surprised to find Carp had defeated Dragons by the score

of 10 to 0. As I wrote in this weblog the day before, Carp

is now in so good a mood that the team makes a far better

performance than we expected. I think the team is given

great power by a lot of Carp fans, who perfectly fill the

Hiroshima Citizens' Stadium, which will be replaced by a new

stadium after this season, and cheer the team

enthusiastically. Kurihara, who is a regular 4th batter

of Carp, writes in his own weblog like this:

神宮の3連戦。

本当に多くのカープファンの方が応援してくださいました。

初戦、何とか勝った僕のヒット、

あれは僕が打ったヒットと言うより、

打たせてもらったヒットです。

カープファンの割れるような歓声が

ピッチャーを焦らせている、と思いました。

初球、ボール。

もう、これで分かりました。

次の球は、打てる。

この時期の選手の体に溜まった「疲れ」は

バッティングも守備も悪くします。

でもあの赤い歓声は

そんな選手の心と体の中で

負を陽に変えてしまう力があるように思うのです。

大声援の後押し

・・・そして、何よりこの市民球場の雰囲気、最高でした。大好きな市民球場のデーゲーム。その迫力はいつも以上で、初回の攻防をベンチで見守った私は、正直鳥肌が立ちました。カープファンの皆様の大声援がチームに大きな力を与えてくれたのは間違いありません・・・

What a nice cooperation of the team and the fans of Carp!

Maeken, who is expected to be the ace pitcher of Carp in the

near future, performed an almost perfect pitching by nice

control of balls, though he had never perfomed such a nice

pitching to Dragons. He went the distance to the end of

the game, to shutout Dragons and achieved the 8th wins

in this season. He shutout for the first time in his

career of the Japanese professional baseball.

As for batters, Alex, who had played in Dragons and

moved to Carp in the last season, made a big

performance of five runs in this game.

I hope Carp will continue to make nice games as this and

the Japanese series will take place in the Hiroshima

Citizens' Stadium.
